Rotary Lobe & Circumferential piston pumps
Rotay Lobe and Circumferential Piston Pumps are equipped with lobes or rotors which are driven by external timing gears to rotate in opposite directions.
The motion of the rotors create an expanding cavity on the inlet side, allowing the fluid to flow into the pump chamber. The rotors then carry the fluid around the pump body to the outlet side where it is forced out of the pump as the cavity contracts.
The Waukesha External Circumferential Piston pump (ECP), is equipped with winged rotors (Pistons). The long sealing path of the rotor reduces slippage and offers gentle handling of particulates. This design of rotor lends itself to products which require gentle handling, low viscosity, high viscosity and also abrasive.
