Workshop Service Supervisor

As part of the expansion within the Installation and Service Team, we are looking for a Workshop Service Supervisor. 

As part of the expansion within the Installation and Service Team, we are looking for a Workshop Service Supervisor.  This role requires you to utilise your mechanical engineering experience in day to day operations with the added responsibility of supervising a small team of workshop service/repair pump engineers.

Applicants would ideally have experience in mechanical pump engineering with both fitting and fabrication knowledge and be willing to be hands on within the workshop environment to assist with stripping, cleaning and identification of repairs. Prior experience in supervising a team is not essential but must be able to demonstrate their ability to take on the additional responsibility.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stripping, cleaning and identification of repairs on customer pumps and mechanical equipment
  • Recommend necessary repairs, identifying all parts to prepare quotations
  • Repair and testing of pumps and mechanical equipment
  • Supervision of the workshop engineers on a daily basis to achieve department objectives, including production of correct documentation and workload planning
  • Attend sites to carry out work and conduct site surveys

Relevant training will be provided where necessary and the successful candidate must comply with all Health & Safety regulations onsite and within the workshop.
