Mouvex Eccentric disc pump technology
Eccentric Disc Pumps
Mouvex Eccentric disc pump - This uniqueTechnology, is used in an array of applications across the globe. Gving many advantages over competing pump lines. There are no mechanical seals thus eliminating leaks and reducing maintenance time. The eccentric disc pumps are direct coupled to the gear reduction unit or motor therefore eliminating the need for magnets. With its clean-in-place capability, flushing and cleaning take place without disassembly.
The Mouvex eccentric disc pump consists of a cylinder and a pumping element mounted on an eccentric shaft. As the eccentric shaft rotates, the pumping element creates chambers with the cylinder. This has the effect of increasing the size of the intake port and drawing fluid into the pumping chamber. The fluid is transported to the discharge port where the size of the pumping chamber decreases. The action squeezes the fluid out into the discharge pipe work. However, its action is far more sensitive making it ideally suited to applications where shear and potential leakage are major issues.
With the recommendation of the EHEDG(European Hygenic Equipment Design Group) and a 3A approval certification the stainless steel models are ideal for sanitary applications.
