The Waukesha positive displacement pump course consists of 8 modules, from the importance of initial installation through to full strip down and rebuild. Each module covers a particular element, explaining why and how it works together with information on how to resolve a fault if it occurs. Damaged and worn parts are examined as early recognition of these often saves downtime and unnecessary expenditure on spares and pumps with built in faults are used for practical exercises.
All safety aspects are covered along with day to day maintenance. Formal recognition using an examination paper and the giving of a certificate is part of the course and each person is given a presentation binder containing manuals and detailed servicing advice.
