Rotary Lobe/Circumferential Pumps

Rotary Lobe and Circumferential Piston Pumps are equipped with lobes or rotors which are driven by external timing gears to rotate in opposite directions.

The motion of the rotors creates an expanding cavity on the inlet side, allowing the fluid to flow into the pump chamber. The rotors then carry the fluid around the pump body to the outlet side where it is forced out of the pump as the cavity contracts.

The long sealing path of the rotor reduces slippage and offers gentle handling of particulates. This design of rotor lends itself to products which require gentle handling, low viscosity, high viscosity.
