Rotary Vane

Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps

Dry-running and oil-lubricated rotary vane pumps, available in single-stage and two-stage designs, offer high efficiency and generate vacuum levels down to 0.1 mbar (a). They feature air-cooled, robust construction and simple maintenance, making them ideal for processing gases with high water vapor content and continuous industrial use.

How Do Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps Work?

Rotary vane vacuum pumps consist of a stator housing with an eccentrically mounted rotor containing several vanes. When the pump starts, centrifugal force pushes the vanes outward to form chambers that transport the medium. The rotor’s clockwise rotation continuously changes the volume between the vanes and the stator, drawing in the medium. Oil-lubricated models use a special oil to seal the spaces between the stator and vanes.

Advantages of Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps

Rotary vane pumps are highly reliable, making them suitable for industrial applications requiring medium vacuum levels as well as R&D applications with high vacuum demands. Oil-lubricated pumps in our range include an oil mist separation system to prevent medium contamination. Key benefits include:

  • High vacuum levels
  • Effective handling of air with high water vapor content
  • Simple design and easy maintenance
  • High reliability and long service life
  • ATEX certification
  • Protection against condensation and corrosion
  • Single-stage and two-stage designs
  • Special series for oxygen-rich media
  • Integration into vacuum systems
