Description

The Conoscreen disc filter consists of a housing divided into three chambers: a feed chamber with an overflow, a filtration chamber and a drain chamber for the filtered water. The Conoscreen can be equipped with one or more conical discs. The discs are supplemented by filter cloths of 75 to 1500 µm. The effluent to be filtered is conveyed into the conical discs via the feed chamber. The effluent passes tangentially through the filter cloths attached to the rotating discs. The cloths retain the particles that remain trapped between the discs, agglomerate and are naturally expelled from the unit via a hopper.

The formation of this "plug" of material rolls away under the effect of the rotation of the discs and thus favors the self-cleaning of the filtering cloths. The Conoscreen is also equipped with an automatic pressure cleaning system with spray nozzles. The filtered water is discharged through the outlet nozzle and can be recycled.
