Description
The Siemens SITRANS LPS200 is a low cost, rotary flag switch for full, empty or selected state detection in solid state applications. The flag switch technology works excellently on media such as grain, pellets, cement, plastic granules and wood chips. The two-flag switch can handle media with a density down to 35gr/l and the standard version can handle a material density down to 100gr/l.
The motor driving the rotating flag has a gear ratio that makes the unit very sensitive. As soon as the medium covers the level where the LPS200 is mounted and comes into contact with the rotating flag, it stops and activates the alarm relay. When the flag is no longer covered, rotation starts and the relay is reset.
The LPS200 has a robust design for use in harsh industrial environments. The sensitivity of the flag can be adjusted and adapted to a variety of different media and their build-up on the sensor.
The LPS200 comes in a number of different versions including compact, extended and cable versions. The LPS200 is fitted as standard with a single flag suitable for most measurement tasks, but can be configured with a double flag to increase sensitivity.
