Description
The working space of a liquid ring vacuum pump or compressor is partially filled with liquid in operation. The casing and port plates form the working space, where the eccentrically mounted rotating impeller forms a liquid ring. The liquid ring forms cells between the impeller blades, which expand during rotation, sucking the gas through the suction port. As the impeller rotates further, these cells are reduced and consequently compress the gas through the discharge port. Together with the gas, a part of the ring liquid will be will be expelled through the discharge port, which is separated from the gas in the separator.
All sizes of the LVP range can be equipped with a variety of sealing methods from Single mechanical seal through to Hermetically sealed drives for the ultimate in product containment.
