Lightnin 45 is used in continuous blending, additive dosing, dispersion, sampling and fast inline reactions when mixing must occur continuously in a pipeline without a motor-driven agitator or separate mixing vessel. For engineers, buyers and maintenance teams, the key question is not only mixer power but whether the selected drive, shaft, impeller and mounting arrangement will create the required circulation, shear, suspension or dispersion in the actual vessel.
The product is built around stationary internal mixing elements divide, redirect and recombine the flowing streams so concentration and temperature become more uniform downstream. This construction allows the mixer to be configured around vessel geometry, fluid properties, duty cycle and the process objective instead of treating all mixing duties as the same application.
Lightnin continues to list the Series 45 Inliner as its static-mixer product for continuous flow applications; exact element count, diameter and material are selected from the process duty. These verified characteristics should be used together with tank dimensions, liquid density and viscosity, solids or gas loading, operating temperature and required batch result when selecting the final configuration. AxFlow can help check the duty and identify the correct Lightnin configuration.
With no mixer motor, gearbox or rotating shaft, a correctly selected static mixer can reduce mechanical maintenance, although pressure drop and pumping energy must be considered during sizing. Correct selection also supports predictable spare-parts planning and reduces the risk of downtime caused by under-sized mechanical components or an impeller that does not match the process.
