Boyser LB-S/70

Description

The Boyser LB-S/70 is a positive-displacement rotary lobe pump for applications where stable transfer of viscous, shear-sensitive or solids-bearing media is more important than the operating characteristics of a conventional centrifugal pump. It is suitable for duties across food and beverage, wastewater, chemical, pharmaceutical, paper and other process industries where product condition, controlled flow and serviceability can influence process continuity. AxFlow can support duty review, materials selection and pump sizing for the actual liquid and system conditions. The pump uses synchronised rotary lobes that turn without direct rotor-to-rotor contact, creating defined displacement per revolution and a comparatively gentle conveying action. Boyser LB-S/70 has a published displacement of 0.91 l/rev and a maximum capacity of 30 m³/h. The LB-S platform is available with elastomer-coated or stainless-steel rotor options, mechanical seals, an intermediate chamber separating the pump head from the gearbox, and replaceable stainless-steel wear liners; the exact configuration must be selected for the medium, cleaning regime and operating environment. For Boyser LB-S/70, AxFlow publishes a maximum differential pressure of 10 bar and a maximum product temperature of 80 °C. Current LB-S series information also lists horizontal installation, mechanical sealing, ATEX availability and suitability for very high-viscosity media, while rotor, seal, connection and certification options depend on the selected build. These values are model and configuration dependent, so final selection should be checked against the required flow, differential pressure, viscosity, solids content, temperature, connection standard and area classification. From a lifecycle-cost perspective, the front-access arrangement and replaceable wear components can reduce the scope of maintenance when compared with designs that require more extensive pump removal. Correct rotor, seal and liner selection helps limit wear, leakage risk and unplanned downtime, while defined displacement per revolution supports predictable process transfer. AxFlow can help identify the correct Boyser configuration, spare parts and service requirements and provide a quotation for the selected model.

Boyser LB-S/70 has a published maximum capacity of 30 m³/h. Actual achievable flow depends on speed, viscosity, differential pressure and the selected pump configuration. AxFlow can check the required duty point before quotation.
The published maximum differential pressure for Boyser LB-S/70 is 10 bar. The permissible operating point depends on product properties, speed, temperature and the selected rotor and seal arrangement. AxFlow can verify the suitable operating envelope for the application.
Boyser LB-S/70 is intended for viscous, shear-sensitive and solids-bearing process media within the limits of the selected configuration. The LB-S family is used in food and beverage, wastewater, chemical and other process duties where rotary lobe pumping is appropriate. Compatibility must be checked against viscosity, solids, elastomers, metals, seals and cleaning chemicals.
The LB-S platform is available with elastomer-coated and stainless-steel rotor options together with process mechanical seals. The exact material combination depends on the product, temperature, cleaning method and regulatory requirements. AxFlow can help specify the rotor, seal and connection arrangement for the duty.
AxFlow can support model selection, spare parts identification and service planning for Boyser LB-S/70. Replaceable wear liners and accessible pump-head components are intended to simplify maintenance on the Boyser LB platform. Contact AxFlow with the pump identification and operating conditions to determine the correct parts or replacement configuration.
