Andritz Ritz MC Series addresses demanding medium-consistency pumping in pulp and paper and related fiber-processing applications. Moving stock with significant fiber content and entrained air requires hydraulics that maintain stable flow while limiting fiber loss and unnecessary energy demand.
The MC series uses a single-stage, single-flow centrifugal design with a semi-open impeller. ANDRITZ SMARTSEP adds a separation impeller that returns fibers to the pump while guiding air out of the process, simplifying degassing control and supporting stable stock handling across changing consistency conditions.
ANDRITZ lists consistency up to 16%, head up to 190 m, pressure up to 25 bar and temperature up to 140 °C for the MC series. Capacity is specified up to 13,000 admt/d, and the manufacturer states efficiency above 70% for the current family.
Stable degassing and fiber retention can reduce process disturbances and avoid losses during run-up or lower-consistency operation.
