Product description

Standard pumps are produced with the pump and motor located separately and, because they must be coupled for use, the liquid they handle can leak outside the pump from the gaps in the casing through which the rotating axis passes. However, because our canned motor pumps employ a structure in which the pump and motor are integrated and the liquid they transport is sealed inside, it is characterized by being completely leak-free.

Teikoku canned motor pumps are used where process liquid must remain contained, including chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, food and other industrial duties. Their sealless construction is relevant for toxic, flammable, corrosive, valuable or temperature-sensitive liquids. AxFlow can help verify the correct configuration for the actual medium and duty point.
The pump and electric motor are integrated into a sealed unit, with the rotor operating within the pumped liquid. This removes the conventional drive shaft penetration through the pump casing and therefore eliminates the mechanical shaft seal. The result is a design intended to prevent external leakage through the shaft-seal area.
AxFlow currently lists Teikoku canned motor pumps with capacities up to 2,300 m³/h and pressure up to 550 bar. The published temperature range extends from −200 to 450 °C across the available configurations. The exact allowable duty depends on the selected pump design, materials, liquid properties and operating conditions.
AxFlow lists ISO 2858 (EN 22858) and API 685 within the Teikoku range, together with ATEX and CE-related configurations. These standards and approvals do not automatically apply to every individual pump configuration. AxFlow should confirm the required execution for the specific installation before selection.
AxFlow can support product selection, service planning and spare-parts identification for Teikoku installations. For an existing pump, the nameplate, operating data, medium and installed interfaces should be checked before replacement or modification. This helps maintenance teams select the correct solution without assuming interchangeability between different configurations.
