Viking 1224A-CHC

Description

The Viking 1224A CHC series consists of internal gear pumps with a jacketed casing, designed for handling viscous and temperature-sensitive liquids. Typical applications include bitumen, resins, and other media requiring controlled heating during transfer. These pumps provide smooth, low-pulsation flow with reliable suction performance, even at higher viscosities. The integrated jacket allows heating or cooling of the pump casing, ensuring the fluid maintains optimal viscosity for efficient and stable operation.Constructed from durable cast iron, the series is built for long service life in demanding environments. Replaceable components and configurable sealing options support easy maintenance and allow adaptation to specific process requirements.

It is used for chocolate, cocoa liquor, cocoa butter, lecithin, and related food products. The pump is suitable for both high-viscosity pastes and lower-viscosity oils. It is commonly applied in chocolate manufacturing and food processing.
The pump operates from 1 to 400 GPM, or 0.2 to 90 m³/h. Different model sizes support both low and high-capacity applications. Maximum pressure is 200 PSI, or 14 bar.
The O-Pro® Barrier Seal with double O-ring arrangement helps prevent leakage. It provides a controlled sealing environment for food-grade applications. This supports clean operation and reduces maintenance requirements.
It handles viscosities from 100 to 900,000 SSU and temperatures up to 225 °F (107 °C). Maximum speeds vary by model and application. These limits should be matched to the specific product and process conditions.
The pump supports NPT, flanged, right-angle, and opposite porting configurations. Drive options include direct-mounted, gear reducer, and V-belt drives. Foot-mounted construction supports stable installation in processing lines.
