Viking 1224A

Description

The Viking 1224A series consists of internal gear pumps developed for transferring viscous liquids across a wide range of industrial and process applications. Typical uses include oils, chemicals, and other fluids requiring steady and controlled flow. These pumps deliver smooth, low-pulsation performance with reliable suction characteristics, even at higher viscosities. The internal gear design ensures gentle fluid handling, making them suitable for shear-sensitive applications while maintaining consistent operation.Constructed from durable cast iron, the 1224A series is built for long service life in demanding environments. Replaceable components and configurable sealing options allow adaptation to specific process requirements and support simplified maintenance.

It is used for liquid sugars, refined fuels, and edible oils. The pump is suitable for viscous liquids that require temperature control during transfer. It is commonly applied in food, fuel, and process industries.
The pump handles flows from 8 to 400 GPM, or 1.8 to 91 m³/h. Multiple model sizes allow accurate selection based on system requirements. Maximum pressure is 200 PSI, or 14 bar.
The O-Pro® Barrier Seal provides dependable sealing and reduces leakage compared to traditional solutions. It also simplifies maintenance procedures. This supports consistent and reliable operation over time.
It operates with viscosities from 100 to 2,000,000 SSU and temperatures from 0 to +350 °F, or -15 to +175 °C. Maximum speeds vary by size, from 470 to 1000 RPM. These limits should be aligned with the application.
The pump supports NPT, BSP, and flanged ASME/ANSI porting options, including right-angle and opposite configurations. Drive options include gear reducer and V-belt drives. Foot-mounted construction supports stable installation.
