Viking 1227C

Description

The Viking 1227C series consists of internal gear pumps developed for transferring viscous liquids in a variety of industrial and process environments. Typical applications include handling oils, chemicals, and other fluids requiring consistent and controlled flow. These pumps deliver smooth, low-pulsation performance with reliable suction capabilities, even under demanding viscosity conditions. The internal gear principle ensures gentle fluid handling and stable operation, supporting efficient and repeatable processes. The pumps are constructed from durable cast iron and feature replaceable wear components to support long operational life. With multiple sealing configurations available, the 1227C series can be adapted to meet specific application and system requirements.

It is used for corrosive fluids, chemicals, and temperature-sensitive liquids. The stainless steel construction supports use across a wide pH range. It is suitable for applications requiring both hygiene and thermal control.
The pump handles flows up to 320 GPM, or 73 m³/h. A range of model sizes allows accurate selection for different capacities. Maximum pressure is 150 PSI, or 10 bar.
The O-Pro® Guard Seal provides improved sealing performance compared to conventional solutions. It helps reduce leakage and supports longer service intervals. This contributes to stable and predictable operation.
It handles viscosities from 28 to 2,000,000 SSU and temperatures from 0 to +350 °F, or -15 to +175 °C. Maximum speeds range from 350 to 760 RPM depending on size. These limits should match the application requirements.
The pump supports NPT, flanged (ANSI/DIN), right-angle, and opposite porting configurations. Drive options include direct-mounted, gear reducer, and V-belt drives. ProPort™ casing and U-Plus™ bracket enhance installation and sealing flexibility.
