Viking 4224B

Description

The Viking 4224B series consists of internal gear pumps developed for transferring viscous liquids in a wide range of industrial and process applications. They are commonly used for oils, chemicals, and other fluids requiring consistent and controlled flow. These pumps provide smooth, low-pulsation performance with reliable suction capability, even at higher viscosities. The internal gear principle ensures gentle handling of shear-sensitive fluids while maintaining stable and efficient operation.Constructed in durable cast iron, the 4224B series is built for long service life in demanding environments. The pumps feature replaceable wear parts and configurable sealing options, allowing adaptation to specific operating conditions and simplified maintenance.

It is used for heavy fuel oil, waxes, and rubber solutions. The pump is suitable for non-corrosive fluids requiring heating during transfer. It performs well in industrial processing applications.
The pump handles flows up to 500 GPM, or 114 m³/h. Multiple sizes allow accurate capacity selection. Maximum pressure is 200 PSI, or 14 bar.
Integral jacket chambers allow steam or hot oil to heat the pump internals. This ensures efficient and uniform temperature control. It helps maintain fluid viscosity and supports reliable operation.
The pump uses a behind-the-rotor seal arrangement. This configuration can improve sealing performance in certain applications. It provides an alternative to conventional sealing positions.
The pump supports NPT, BSP, and flanged ASME/ANSI porting, including right-angle and opposite configurations. Drive options include gear reducer and V-belt drives. Foot-mounted construction supports stable installation.
