Blue-White CHEM-FEED MD3 is used where chemical feed must be accurate, smooth and resilient against common diaphragm pump problems. It is relevant for municipal water treatment, wastewater treatment and high-pressure chemical dosing where off-gassing chemicals can create vapor lock, unstable flow or loss of prime.
The MD3 uses multi-diaphragm Hyperdrive technology, where two diaphragms alternate suction and discharge. This produces a smoother chemical feed profile than a conventional single-diaphragm stroke and can remove the need for a pulsation dampener in suitable applications. Blue-White lists DiaFlex and Flex-A-Prene diaphragm options, a touchscreen colour LCD interface, Diaphragm Failure Detection, 4-20 mA and pulse inputs, industrial protocol options, remote start/stop and auto-prime on current MD3 data. Verified technical data includes a flow range of 0.10-199 LPH, pressure up to 10 bar, a 2,000:1 turndown ratio and ANSI/NEMA 4X enclosure rating.
For maintenance and lifecycle cost, the MD3 is intended to reduce issues linked with vapor lock, diaphragm failure and unstable dosing. The control and alarm options help operators connect the pump to plant supervision, while diaphragm failure detection supports faster reaction to service events. AxFlow can help compare the chemical, pressure, flow range and control requirements with the correct Blue-White CHEM-FEED MD3 configuration.
