Product description

realAx RP Food Grade is intended for food and beverage transfer where reliable containment, self-priming behaviour and straightforward maintenance are important. The peristaltic principle isolates the process liquid inside the hose or tube, making the range relevant for wastewater, chemical, food and other industrial duties when the selected elastomer is compatible with the medium.

The pump moves liquid by progressively compressing the flexible pumping element. This positive-displacement action provides repeatable flow without mechanical seals or check valves in the product path. Fda- and eu 1935/2004-compliant hose elements are available with stainless-steel food flanges.

The published range reaches up to 50 m³/h with differential pressure up to 15 bar. for dairy products, edible fats and oils, fruit purées, ready meals and beverages. These are range limits and the achievable duty depends on pump size, speed, hose or tube material and the actual process conditions.

For maintenance teams, the hose or tube is the principal product-contact wear component, which simplifies service planning compared with designs containing multiple wetted moving parts. Correct hose selection, inspection intervals and protection against excessive pressure help preserve dosing accuracy, reduce unplanned stoppages and support predictable lifecycle cost.

realAx RP Food Grade is used for food and beverage transfer. The peristaltic principle is relevant for abrasive, viscous, shear-sensitive or difficult liquids when the pumping element is compatible with the medium. AxFlow can help check the required duty point and hose or tube selection.
The published range reaches up to 50 m³/h and 15 bar. Actual capacity depends on the selected size, speed, pumping-element material and system conditions. The final operating point should therefore be checked during pump selection.
The realAx peristaltic principle allows dry running because the process liquid is contained in the hose or tube. This can be useful during priming and intermittent operation. Operating limits and hose condition should still be monitored according to the application.
Routine service focuses mainly on the hose or tube and the components that compress it. This limits the number of wetted wear parts and can simplify planned maintenance. Inspection and replacement intervals depend on pressure, speed, medium and operating time.
Selection should consider flow, pressure, viscosity, solids, chemical compatibility, temperature and required control functions. The hose or tube material is especially important because it is the main product-contact component. AxFlow can help identify the correct pump and pumping-element configuration.
