Viking 124E

Description

The 124E internal gear pump is used for asphalt handling and other viscous fluids requiring preheating before operation. It ensures reliable transfer by maintaining fluid temperature within the pump prior to startup. It delivers flows up to 500 GPM (114 m³/h) with pressures up to 200 PSI (14 bar). The pump operates across viscosities from 28 to 2,000,000 SSU, supporting consistent performance in demanding conditions. Constructed with integrated electric heating, the pump eliminates the need for external steam or hot oil systems. This reduces installation complexity and allows operation in locations where thermal infrastructure is limited. The design minimizes heat loss and simplifies maintenance by removing external heating circuits. Multiple porting, drive, and mounting options provide flexibility for integration into asphalt and industrial processing systems.

It is used primarily for asphalt and other heat-dependent viscous fluids. The pump is suitable for applications where preheating is required before startup. It is commonly applied in road construction and industrial heating processes.
The pump handles flows up to 500 GPM, or 114 m³/h. A wide range of sizes allows accurate capacity selection. Maximum pressure is 200 PSI, or 14 bar.
The integrated electric heating warms the fluid inside the pump prior to operation. This eliminates the need for external steam or hot oil systems. It also reduces heat loss and simplifies installation and maintenance.
It handles viscosities from 28 to 2,000,000 SSU and temperatures from -60 to +450 °F, or -51 to +230 °C. Maximum speeds vary depending on model size. These limits must be aligned with the application.
The pump supports NPT, flanged, right-angle, and opposite porting configurations. Drive options include direct-mounted, gear reducer, and V-belt drives. Foot-mounted construction supports stable installation.
