Viking 324E

Description

The 324E internal gear pump is used for handling asphalt and other viscous fluids requiring preheating before operation. It ensures reliable startup and transfer by maintaining fluid temperature within the pump. It delivers flows up to 685 GPM (155 m³/h) with pressures up to 200 PSI (14 bar). The pump operates across viscosities from 28 to 2,000,000 SSU, supporting stable performance in demanding applications. Constructed with integrated electric heating, the pump eliminates the need for external steam or hot oil systems. This simplifies installation and allows use in locations without thermal infrastructure. The design reduces heat loss and maintenance requirements by removing external heating circuits. Flanged porting and available drive configurations support integration into asphalt handling and industrial systems.

It is used primarily for asphalt and other heat-dependent viscous fluids. The pump is suitable for applications requiring internal heating before startup. It is commonly applied in road construction and industrial processes.
The pump handles flows up to 685 GPM, or 155 m³/h. It is designed for medium to high-capacity applications. Maximum pressure is 200 PSI, or 14 bar.
The integrated electric heating warms the fluid inside the pump prior to operation. This removes the need for steam or hot oil systems. It reduces heat loss and simplifies both installation and maintenance.
It handles viscosities from 28 to 2,000,000 SSU and temperatures from -60 to +450 °F, or -50 to +230 °C. Maximum speed is 420 RPM for this model. These limits must match the application.
The pump supports flanged ASME/ANSI porting with opposite port configuration. Drive options include gear reducer and V-belt drives. Foot-mounted construction supports stable installation.
