Viking 4624B

Description

The 4624B internal gear pump is used for handling inks, resins, starch, and other fluids containing abrasive particles. It is suited for applications where wear resistance and sealing reliability are critical. It delivers flows from 0.75 to 182 GPM (0.17 to 41 m³/h) with pressures up to 150 PSI (10 bar). The pump operates across viscosities from 38 to 250,000 SSU, supporting stable transfer of abrasive and viscous fluids. Constructed with ultra-hard tungsten carbide idler pin and bushing, the pump minimizes wear in key areas exposed to abrasive materials. This supports extended service life in demanding operating conditions. The pump features a behind-the-rotor mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces and an external flush line to reduce solids buildup. A grease-lubricated bracket bushing further isolates critical components from the pumped liquid.

It is used for inks, resins, starch, and other abrasive fluids. The pump is suitable for applications where solids are present in the liquid. It performs well in demanding industrial processes.
The pump handles flows from 0.75 to 182 GPM, or 0.17 to 41 m³/h. Multiple sizes allow accurate capacity selection. Maximum pressure is 150 PSI, or 10 bar.
The pump uses tungsten carbide components in key wear areas. This reduces wear caused by abrasive particles. It helps extend service life and maintain performance.
The pump uses a behind-the-rotor mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces. An external flush line helps remove solids buildup. This supports longer seal life and reliable operation.
The pump supports NPT, flanged, right-angle, and opposite porting configurations. Drive options include direct-mounted, gear reducer, and V-belt drives. Foot-mounted construction supports stable installation.
