Product description

BAC FB is a flanged, full-bore floating ball valve for process isolation in chemical, petrochemical, gas, LPG and oil & gas applications. It is suited to installations where reliable shut-off, controlled fugitive emissions and robust mechanical construction are important for process continuity and plant safety. AxFlow can support selection against the required pressure class, nominal size, materials and operating conditions.

The valve uses a split-body construction with a floating ball, relief seats, an anti-static device, a pressure-balance hole in the ball and a blow-out-proof stem. A self-adjusting double stuffing box supports stem sealing and maintenance control. BAC specifies fugitive-emission performance according to ISO 15848 Class BH and wetted internal parts in accordance with ANSI/NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.

The FB range is available in Class 150-300 from 1/2 to 8 inches and in PN16-40 from DN15 to DN200. The standard range is designed to ISO 17292 / EN 1983, with ASME B16.5 RF or EN 1092-1 flanges, ISO 5211 top flanges and fire-safe testing to EN ISO 10497 / API 607. BAC also lists options including API 6D, an emissions-control port and selected internal coatings.

For maintenance and lifecycle planning, the standardized face-to-face dimensions, actuator interface and documented material options help engineers match the valve to an existing piping and automation concept. The double stuffing box and blow-out-proof stem address common leakage and service concerns around the stem area. Correct selection of materials, pressure class and options can reduce avoidable maintenance interventions and support dependable shut-off over the valve lifecycle.

BAC FB is used as an industrial shut-off valve in chemical, petrochemical, gas, LPG and oil & gas processes. Its full-bore floating-ball construction is intended for applications requiring reliable isolation and standardized flanged connections. AxFlow can help assess the appropriate size, pressure class, materials and options for the duty.
BAC lists FB in Class 150-300 from 1/2 to 8 inches and in PN16-40 from DN15 to DN200. The correct selection depends on the piping standard, design pressure, temperature and process medium. Confirm the exact configuration with AxFlow before specification or replacement.
BAC FB uses a self-adjusting double stuffing box and is specified for fugitive-emission performance according to ISO 15848 Class BH. This construction is relevant where stem leakage must be controlled as part of plant environmental or safety requirements. The complete valve specification should still be checked against the site standard and service conditions.
The standard FB range is designed to ISO 17292 / EN 1983 and uses ISO 5211 top flanges. BAC lists ASME B16.5 RF or EN 1092-1 flanges and fire-safe testing to EN ISO 10497 / API 607. Applicable standards and options should be confirmed for the exact valve configuration ordered.
AxFlow can support selection based on nominal size, pressure class, materials, actuation and process conditions. Existing installation dimensions and service requirements should be checked before selecting a replacement. Contact AxFlow for availability, technical support and a quotation.
