Product description

BAC FBL is a flanged, full-bore floating ball valve for process shut-off in chemical, petrochemical, gas, LPG and oil & gas applications. It is especially relevant where a PN-rated valve with a compact standardized face-to-face dimension is required for new installations or replacement work. AxFlow can support selection around the process medium, nominal size, pressure rating, materials and actuation requirements.

The FBL uses a split-body floating-ball construction with relief seats, an anti-static device, a pressure-balance hole in the ball and a blow-out-proof stem. A self-adjusting double stuffing box is used at the stem to support controlled sealing performance. BAC specifies fugitive-emission performance to ISO 15848 Class BH and wetted internal parts in accordance with ANSI/NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.

BAC lists the FBL range in PN16-40 from DN15 to DN100. The standard construction is designed to ISO 17292 / EN 1983, with EN 1092-1 flanges, EN 558-1 Series 1 face-to-face dimensions and an ISO 5211 top flange. Fire-safe testing is stated to EN ISO 10497 / API 607, providing a documented basis for projects with defined fire-safe valve requirements.

For maintenance teams, the standardized dimensions and actuator interface can simplify replacement planning and automation integration. The double stuffing box, anti-static device and blow-out-proof stem address important operational and safety considerations without adding unnecessary complexity to routine servicing. Selecting the correct materials and pressure rating for the medium and temperature helps protect valve life and reduce the risk of unplanned shutdowns.

BAC FBL is used for industrial process isolation in chemical, gas, LPG and oil & gas installations. Its full-bore floating-ball design is combined with PN-rated flanged connections and a compact standardized face-to-face length. AxFlow can help determine whether FBL fits the process and installation requirements.
BAC lists FBL from DN15 to DN100 in PN16-40. Selection must also consider process temperature, medium, materials and the required end-connection standard. Confirm the exact valve configuration with AxFlow before ordering.
FBL uses EN 558-1 Series 1 face-to-face dimensions. This can be useful where installation length is constrained or where a standardized replacement dimension is important. Existing pipework dimensions should still be checked before replacement.
BAC specifies a self-adjusting double stuffing box and fugitive-emission performance according to ISO 15848 Class BH. These features support controlled sealing at the stem in demanding process environments. Site-specific emission requirements should be checked against the final selected valve.
AxFlow can support selection based on DN size, PN rating, materials, actuation and process conditions. For replacements, face-to-face dimensions and connection standards should be verified against the installed valve. Contact AxFlow for technical support, availability and a quotation.
