BAC PQR-i is a flanged, reduced-bore floating ball valve for shut-off duties in chemical, gas, LPG and oil & gas processes. The one-piece body is intended for installations where a compact reduced-bore valve is suitable for the hydraulic and process requirements. AxFlow can support selection based on line size, pressure class, materials, process medium and the required operating or automation concept.
The PQR-i construction combines a one-piece body and floating ball with relief seats, an anti-static device, a pressure-balance hole in the ball and a blow-out-proof stem. A self-adjusting double stuffing box supports stem sealing. BAC specifies fugitive-emission performance to ISO 15848 and wetted internal parts in accordance with ANSI/NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.
BAC lists PQR-i in Class 150-300 from 1/2 x 3/8 inches up to 12 x 10 inches. The valve is designed to ISO 17292 with ASME B16.5 RF flanges, ASME B16.10 short-pattern face-to-face dimensions and an ISO 5211 top flange. Fire-safe testing is stated to EN ISO 10497 / API 607, while available options include API 6D, cryogenic service and an emissions-control port.
For engineering and maintenance teams, the reduced-bore geometry should be checked against acceptable pressure drop and process requirements before selection. Standardized flanges, face-to-face dimensions and actuator mounting help simplify mechanical and automation integration.
