Product description

EFFEBI Moon industrial ball valves are intended for on/off isolation in process and utility systems handling chemical products, food-process fluids, gas, compressed air and water. Selected configurations are also suitable for moderate vacuum and steam service, making the family relevant where compact quarter-turn isolation is needed across different process media. AxFlow can support valve selection according to fluid compatibility, pressure, temperature, connection standard and automation requirements.

The Moon family uses a full-bore or contained-ball industrial ball-valve construction in stainless steel, depending on article and size. Current EFFEBI data lists AISI 316/316L and AISI 304 constructions, DN15 to DN100, flanged connections to UNI EN 1092 / DIN standards and ISO 5211 actuator mounting. The anti-blowout stem, automatic-adjusting triple stem packing and available antistatic device are aimed at maintaining sealing integrity in demanding industrial service.

EFFEBI publishes pressure ratings of PN16/40 for many DN15–DN100 versions, with PN64 available for selected configurations, and a standard PTFE temperature range of -20 to +180 °C. Special PTFE compounds allow higher temperature service, including steam applications up to 200 °C where the correct seat is selected. The Moon family is also available with fire-safe certification, DVGW gas approval and ATEX versions depending on configuration, so approvals must be confirmed against the exact valve article.

For total cost of ownership, the standardized quarter-turn design, ISO 5211 actuator interface and serviceable stem-sealing arrangement can simplify maintenance and later automation. Material and seat compatibility remain critical because chemical exposure, steam temperature and gas service place different demands on the valve. AxFlow can help identify the correct Moon variant, support actuator selection and provide service and spare-parts assistance for installed valves.

EFFEBI Moon is an industrial on/off ball valve family for chemical products, food plants, gas, air and water distribution systems. Selected versions are also suitable for moderate vacuum and steam service. AxFlow can help verify the correct valve article for the medium and operating conditions.
Current EFFEBI data lists Moon valves from DN15 to DN100. Many versions are rated PN16/40, with PN64 available on selected configurations. The exact rating must be checked against the valve material, size and article number.
Yes, selected Moon configurations can be used for steam when the correct high-temperature seat material is specified. EFFEBI publishes special PTFE compounds for service up to about 200 °C. AxFlow should verify pressure, temperature and seat compatibility before selection.
Depending on configuration, Moon valves are available with fire-safe certification, DVGW gas approval, antistatic devices and ATEX versions. These approvals do not automatically apply to every article in the family. AxFlow can help confirm which certified configuration matches the project requirements.
Yes, the Moon family uses an ISO 5211 top mounting suitable for actuator integration. Pneumatic or electric automation can be selected according to required torque, fail position and control signals. AxFlow can supply selection support for a complete valve and actuator package.
