EFFEBI ARTEMIS butterfly valves are used for isolation and flow control in industrial pipework handling water, wastewater, light chemicals, oils, gases and other compatible media. The wafer-style concept is especially useful where installation space and weight matter, while the broad seat and disc material selection helps match the valve to different process conditions. AxFlow can support selection according to medium, pressure, temperature, flange standard and actuation requirements.
The ARTEMIS range uses a quarter-turn disc operating against a resilient seat to provide compact shut-off with relatively few moving parts. Current EFFEBI documentation lists DN40 to DN300, compatibility with UNI EN 1092 PN6, PN10 and PN16 flanges and ANSI Class 150 flanges, with ISO 5211 top mounting for actuator integration. Manual lever operation is standard through DN200, while larger sizes use a gearbox; conversion kits for pneumatic or electric actuation are also available.
Published working limits depend on valve size, medium and seat material. EFFEBI specifies maximum working pressure up to PN16, with EPDM seats for fluids from -20 to +110 °C, EPDM-HT to +130 °C, NBR to +90 °C for fluids and +60 °C for gas, and FKM/Viton to +160 °C for fluids; selected versions are also tested for 900 mbar vacuum. Disc and body material combinations include cast or ductile iron bodies with stainless-steel, nickel-plated ductile iron or aluminium-bronze discs depending on configuration.
From a lifecycle perspective, the simple quarter-turn construction, replaceable sealing elements and standardized actuator interface can simplify inspection, maintenance and future automation. Correct specification of elastomer, disc material and operating pressure is important to avoid premature wear or chemical incompatibility. AxFlow can help identify the appropriate ARTEMIS configuration, provide service and spare-parts support, and assist with actuator selection for new or existing installations.
