Continuous modulating performance

Rotork CMA is used for linear, part-turn and multi-turn control valves plus metering and dosing equipment. The exact application depends on valve type, required duty and selected configuration. AxFlow can help confirm whether the actuator fits the process requirement.
Selection should start with valve movement, required torque or thrust, duty cycle, power or air supply, control signals and installation environment. Hazardous-area and functional-safety requirements must also be checked where applicable. AxFlow can support sizing and configuration before quotation.
Key checks include valve torque or thrust, operating angle or travel, operating frequency, supply, ambient conditions, enclosure requirement and control interface. CMA supports continuous S9/Class D modulation; CML and CMQ variants provide positioning accuracy up to 0.1%, with a standard ambient range of -30 to +70 °C. The final configuration should always be verified against the selected actuator size and Rotork documentation.
AxFlow can support identification of the installed unit, service planning and spare-parts requirements for Rotork actuators. Availability depends on the exact generation, size and configuration. Provide the actuator nameplate and application details when requesting support.
Replacement should be based on the installed actuator data and the valve requirement, not only the series name. Mechanical interfaces, output, supply, control architecture and certifications should be checked. AxFlow can help compare the installed Rotork CMA configuration with an appropriate replacement.
