Product description

The control of the valve actuator motor is integrated in the actuator and there is no need for a control panel with external contactors. Thanks to the large, clearly readable screen, the position of the controlled valve, the applied torque and other information can be easily read even from a distance. The drive parameters are set with the remote control (IR or Bluetooth®). The fact that an absolute encoder is used to fix the position of the drive, which ensures the accuracy and reliability of the position display, deserves special mention.

If necessary, it is possible to add various control and feedback cards

Rotork IQ is used for gate, globe and other multi-turn valves. The exact application depends on valve type, required duty and selected configuration. AxFlow can help confirm whether the actuator fits the process requirement.
Selection should start with valve movement, required torque or thrust, duty cycle, power or air supply, control signals and installation environment. Hazardous-area and functional-safety requirements must also be checked where applicable. AxFlow can support sizing and configuration before quotation.
Key checks include valve torque or thrust, operating angle or travel, operating frequency, supply, ambient conditions, enclosure requirement and control interface. Current IQ3 Pro multi-turn actuators support isolation or regulating duty up to 60 starts per hour and use a double-sealed IP66/68 enclosure. The final configuration should always be verified against the selected actuator size and Rotork documentation.
AxFlow can support identification of the installed unit, service planning and spare-parts requirements for Rotork actuators. Availability depends on the exact generation, size and configuration. Provide the actuator nameplate and application details when requesting support.
Several Rotork IQ generations remain in service, so replacement should not be based on the family name alone. Mechanical interfaces, torque or thrust, electrical supply, controls, network protocol and certification must be reviewed. AxFlow can help assess a suitable current Rotork platform without assuming drop-in interchangeability.
