Product description

The IQ3 multiturn modulating version of IQ actuator, features fast-response remote control circuits for rapid control. To optimise positional control, the solid state starter also adds an electronic motor ‘brake' feature.

Rotork IQM is used for control valves requiring frequent and precise multi-turn movement. The exact application depends on valve type, required duty and selected configuration. AxFlow can help confirm whether the actuator fits the process requirement.
Selection should start with valve movement, required torque or thrust, duty cycle, power or air supply, control signals and installation environment. Hazardous-area and functional-safety requirements must also be checked where applicable. AxFlow can support sizing and configuration before quotation.
Key checks include valve torque or thrust, operating angle or travel, operating frequency, supply, ambient conditions, enclosure requirement and control interface. Current IQ3M Pro versions are designed for modulating duty up to 1,200 starts per hour (S4/Class C). The final configuration should always be verified against the selected actuator size and Rotork documentation.
AxFlow can support identification of the installed unit, service planning and spare-parts requirements for Rotork actuators. Availability depends on the exact generation, size and configuration. Provide the actuator nameplate and application details when requesting support.
Several Rotork IQ generations remain in service, so replacement should not be based on the family name alone. Mechanical interfaces, torque or thrust, electrical supply, controls, network protocol and certification must be reviewed. AxFlow can help assess a suitable current Rotork platform without assuming drop-in interchangeability.
