Product description

The IQT3 Pro actuator automates part-turn valves (such as butterfly, ball or plug valves) in demanding industrial environments, supporting both isolation and modulation applications. It provides high-performance actuation with intelligent monitoring and configuration features built in.

From a performance perspective, the IQT3 Pro features a robust design capable of up to 1,200 starts per hour, certified for functional safety (SIL2/3) and designed for harsh environments with IP66/68 and explosion-proof ratings.

In terms of design, the actuator includes an oil-bath lubricated drive train for any mounting orientation, an absolute encoder for position tracking even without power, and full connectivity via smartphone app, Bluetooth setting tool and Ethernet/fieldbus networks.

Rotork IQT3 Pro is used for butterfly, ball and plug valves in isolation and regulating duties. The exact application depends on valve type, required duty and selected configuration. AxFlow can help confirm whether the actuator fits the process requirement.
Selection should start with valve movement, required torque or thrust, duty cycle, power or air supply, control signals and installation environment. Hazardous-area and functional-safety requirements must also be checked where applicable. AxFlow can support sizing and configuration before quotation.
Key checks include valve torque or thrust, operating angle or travel, operating frequency, supply, ambient conditions, enclosure requirement and control interface. IQT3 Pro supports 1-phase, 3-phase and DC supplies, up to 1,200 starts per hour, IP66/68 (7 m for 72 hours) and SIL2/3 safety applications. The final configuration should always be verified against the selected actuator size and Rotork documentation.
AxFlow can support identification of the installed unit, service planning and spare-parts requirements for Rotork actuators. Availability depends on the exact generation, size and configuration. Provide the actuator nameplate and application details when requesting support.
Replacement should be based on the installed actuator data and the valve requirement, not only the series name. Mechanical interfaces, output, supply, control architecture and certifications should be checked. AxFlow can help compare the installed Rotork IQT3 Pro configuration with an appropriate replacement.
