Needle valves stand out for their flow control capabilities. The design of these valves is similar to that of gate valves, but instead of a closing disc, the closing element of these valves is a tapered cone. Due to shape of the closing element, the control characteristic of the needle valves is straight. As a result, these types of valves are often used in dosing systems.
