Orbinox BC is a fabricated square-port low-pressure knife gate valve used for bulk handling, silo discharge and highly solids-loaded media. It is intended for engineers and maintenance teams that need dependable isolation or flow control where the medium and operating conditions demand a purpose-built valve design.
BC uses a fabricated square or rectangular port for solids and bulk-material discharge, with metal-to-metal or EPDM seating and carbon-steel or AISI 316 body options. Its geometry is intended for low-pressure outlet and material-handling duties rather than conventional liquid throttling.
Standard fabricated sizes run from 150 x 150 to 600 x 600 mm at 1 bar working pressure, with other dimensions on request. Current data lists carbon steel operation from -10 to +80 °C and AISI 316 from -20 to +80 °C.
Matching the valve design to solids content, pressure direction and sealing duty helps reduce jamming, premature wear and unplanned shutdowns. AxFlow can support configuration review, actuator selection, spare parts and service throughout the valve lifecycle.
