Product description

Orbinox VG is a bi-directional slurry knife gate valve with rubber sleeves used for abrasive slurry in mining, power, chemical and wastewater processes. It is intended for engineers and maintenance teams that need dependable isolation or flow control where the medium and operating conditions demand a purpose-built valve design.

Two rubber sleeves form the sealing and wear interface, providing bi-directional shut-off while isolating much of the metal body from abrasive slurry. This sleeve architecture is specifically aimed at high-solids, erosive process media where conventional seats can wear rapidly.

The current range covers DN 50–900. Published pressure is 10 bar for DN 50–400, 6 or 10 bar for DN 450–600 depending on configuration, and 5 bar for DN 700–900; standard connections include EN 1092 PN10 and ASME Class 150.

Matching the valve design to solids content, pressure direction and sealing duty helps reduce jamming, premature wear and unplanned shutdowns. AxFlow can support configuration review, actuator selection, spare parts and service throughout the valve lifecycle.

Orbinox VG is used for abrasive slurry in mining, power, chemical and wastewater processes. Its construction is selected for that specific process duty. AxFlow can help verify suitability for the medium and operating conditions.
The current range covers DN 50–900. Pressure capability depends on size and configuration. The exact rating should be checked before ordering.
Actuation options depend on the exact Orbinox model and size. Manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic operation is available across the wider Orbinox range. AxFlow can help size the actuator for the actual duty.
Material selection should reflect the medium, solids content, abrasion, chemistry and temperature. Different Orbinox configurations use different body, gate and seat materials. The final material combination should be verified for the process.
AxFlow can help identify service parts for the exact valve configuration. Model, size, seat type, body material and actuator details are useful for correct identification. Contact AxFlow for availability and a quote.
