Orbinox VG is a bi-directional slurry knife gate valve with rubber sleeves used for abrasive slurry in mining, power, chemical and wastewater processes. It is intended for engineers and maintenance teams that need dependable isolation or flow control where the medium and operating conditions demand a purpose-built valve design.
Two rubber sleeves form the sealing and wear interface, providing bi-directional shut-off while isolating much of the metal body from abrasive slurry. This sleeve architecture is specifically aimed at high-solids, erosive process media where conventional seats can wear rapidly.
The current range covers DN 50–900. Published pressure is 10 bar for DN 50–400, 6 or 10 bar for DN 450–600 depending on configuration, and 5 bar for DN 700–900; standard connections include EN 1092 PN10 and ASME Class 150.
Matching the valve design to solids content, pressure direction and sealing duty helps reduce jamming, premature wear and unplanned shutdowns. AxFlow can support configuration review, actuator selection, spare parts and service throughout the valve lifecycle.
