Orbinox Penstocks is a family of fabricated penstocks and slide gates used for water and wastewater treatment, irrigation, reservoirs, hydraulic works and hydropower. It is intended for engineers and maintenance teams that need dependable isolation or flow control where the medium and operating conditions demand a purpose-built valve design.
Orbinox offers wall-mounted MU penstocks with four-side sealing, CC channel penstocks with three-side sealing, weir and stop-gate designs, plus stainless-steel and aluminium stop logs. Carbon-steel and stainless-steel fabricated structures are available, with elastomer sealing and multiple actuation methods depending on model.
MU gates are square or rectangular and wall mounted, while CC gates are intended for open channels with the fixed frame embedded in concrete. Current Orbinox data states that dimensions and allowable pressure head vary by model and project, with handwheel, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic actuation available on suitable designs.
Project-specific sizing and correct sealing direction are essential for leakage performance, operating force and long-term reliability. AxFlow can support dimensional review, model selection, actuator choice and spare-parts planning for new or existing water-control structures.
