Product description

A pressure relief valve is required where a pressurized dosing line can be blocked or isolated and pressure could rise above the safe level for the pump or downstream components. Grundfos states that all pressurized dosing installations should include a pressure relief valve. The valve provides a defined protective path for excess pressure instead of allowing pressure to build uncontrolled in the discharge line.

Grundfos PRV valves are installed in the outlet line near the pump. When discharge pressure exceeds the selected setting, the valve opens and the side connection routes relieved liquid back toward the tank.
