Product description

Valvole Hofmann 11M9-3 is a three-way globe control valve for applications that need to mix two inlet streams into one outlet or divert one inlet stream between two outlets. It is suited to process-temperature control, circulation, heat-transfer and utility systems where the flow path must be changed continuously rather than simply opened or closed. AxFlow can support sizing and configuration for the required mixing or diverting duty.

The valve uses a three-way globe body with a multi-spring diaphragm actuator and a linear flow characteristic. Pneumatic actuation is standard, while electric actuation can be supplied on request, and the valve can be combined with positioners, I/P converters, solenoids and other accessories. The four-port body arrangement allows the lower flange and plug/stem assembly to be inspected without completely removing the valve from the pipeline.

Current manufacturer data covers DN 15 to DN 300 with body options in ductile iron EN-GJS-400-18-LT, carbon steel WCB (1.0619) and stainless steel A351 CF8M (1.4408). Published temperature limits extend from -196 °C to +500 °C depending on configuration, with leakage classes IV and VI and PEEK or metal-to-metal seat options. Available connections include DIN or ANSI flanges, BSPP, NPT, butt-weld and socket-weld ends.

A three-way control valve must be sized for the actual branch flows, pressure drops and operating mode because mixing and diverting duties impose different hydraulic conditions. Correct trim, actuator and material selection helps reduce instability, premature wear and unnecessary energy loss in the system. AxFlow can help identify the correct 11M9-3 configuration and provide technical support, spare parts guidance and availability information.

The 11M9-3 is a three-way globe control valve used for mixing two flows or diverting one flow into two branches. Typical duties include temperature control, circulation and process-stream routing. AxFlow can help determine whether the installation requires mixing or diverting configuration.
Current manufacturer data lists sizes from DN 15 to DN 300. Connection, pressure class and trim depend on the selected valve configuration. AxFlow can confirm the correct size and execution for the duty point.
Published body materials include ductile iron EN-GJS-400-18-LT, carbon steel WCB and stainless steel A351 CF8M. Material selection depends on medium, pressure, temperature and corrosion conditions. AxFlow can support the compatibility check during valve selection.
The standard product is commonly supplied with a pneumatic multi-spring diaphragm actuator. Electric actuation is available on request, together with positioners and other accessories. The required control signal and fail position should be defined before ordering.
Sizing requires the flow in each branch, inlet and outlet pressures, temperature, medium and required operating mode. The pressure drop through each flow path should be considered to maintain stable control. Contact AxFlow for sizing, product selection and availability.
