Seital Direct Drive is intended for separation processes where installation space, transmission efficiency and drive maintenance are important. In a direct-drive centrifuge, the motor is mounted directly on the bowl shaft so the motor shaft and centrifuge shaft form one drive line. This removes gears, belts and other intermediate transmission parts. The separation principle remains the same: a high-speed disc-stack bowl uses centrifugal force to separate liquid phases or suspended solids.
SPX FLOW publishes direct-drive milk-skimming capacities of 5,000–10,000 l/h and standardisation capacities of 8,000–14,000 l/h for available dairy sizes.
