Key product features

  • Water-filled rewindable motors → Support long service life and allow motor refurbishment instead of complete replacement.
  • Integrated submersible pump-and-motor design → Reduces space requirements and avoids long external drive shafts in wells and caissons.
  • Flows up to 4,500 m³/h → Covers large municipal, industrial and infrastructure water-transfer duties.
  • Heads up to 800 m → Supports deep-well and high-pressure water-transfer applications where substantial differential head is required.
  • Motor range from small 4-inch units to 50-inch machines → Enables matching of motor size and power to widely different installations.
  • Water-filled motors as standard → Provides an environmentally compatible motor concept for many water-service applications.
  • Multiple construction materials → Supports selection for potable water, seawater and other demanding process environments.
  • Vertical, horizontal and inclined installation options → Gives engineers more flexibility when integrating pumps into wells, caissons and special structures.
  • Pressure-compensation and thrust-bearing design → Helps protect the submerged motor under varying external pressure and axial loading.
  • PLEUGER service and spare-parts support via AxFlow → Helps maintenance teams plan repairs, overhauls and replacement of installed equipment.

Product Description

PLEUGER submersible motor pumps are used where the pump and motor must operate below the liquid level and where conventional dry-installed equipment would require more space, shafting or infrastructure. Typical duties include potable-water abstraction, municipal and industrial water supply, mine dewatering, seawater service, pressure boosting, offshore systems and other applications where reliable submerged operation is critical to process continuity.

The pump and motor are engineered as a compact submerged unit. PLEUGER uses water-filled, wet-wound motors as standard, with rewindable stators, pressure-compensation systems and dedicated thrust-bearing designs; current motor options extend from 4-inch units to large 50-inch machines, with oil-filled motors available for selected special applications. Pumps can be configured for vertical, horizontal or inclined installation, and multiple material options are available for different water qualities and corrosive environments.

Current AxFlow data lists PLEUGER submersible pumps with capacities up to 4,500 m³/h and heads up to 800 m. PLEUGER's current motor programme covers approximately 0.37 kW to 5 MW for asynchronous water-filled or special oil-filled motors, while permanent-magnet options are available for selected duties. Exact hydraulic performance, material selection, motor voltage, cooling conditions and certification depend on the selected pump and application.

The integrated submerged construction reduces the need for long drive shafts and can simplify installation in wells, caissons and flooded environments. Rewindable motors, serviceable components, material options and PLEUGER's spare-parts and overhaul support help maintenance teams manage equipment life and reduce the risk of prolonged outages. AxFlow can support pump selection, duty-point review, service planning and identification of the correct replacement or spare parts for installed PLEUGER equipment.

PLEUGER submersible motor pumps are used for deep wells, potable-water abstraction, pressure boosting, mine dewatering, seawater systems, offshore duties and industrial water transfer. The submerged design is especially relevant where space is limited or where the pump must operate below the liquid level. AxFlow can help match the hydraulic duty, materials and motor configuration to the application.
Current AxFlow information lists capacities up to 4,500 m³/h and heads up to 800 m for the PLEUGER submersible pump range. The exact operating point depends on pump size, stage configuration, motor and installation conditions. Selection should therefore be based on the required flow, head, liquid properties and available well or caisson dimensions.
PLEUGER offers water-filled rewindable asynchronous motors as the standard concept, with oil-filled motors available for selected special duties. Current PLEUGER material also includes permanent-magnet motor options for applications where higher motor efficiency is required. AxFlow can help verify power, voltage, frequency, cooling and VFD requirements for the selected pump.
Yes, PLEUGER submersible pump systems can be engineered for vertical, horizontal and selected inclined installations. The correct arrangement depends on motor cooling, hydraulic layout, support method and the specific pump design. AxFlow should review the installation details before a configuration is selected or an existing unit is replaced.
AxFlow can support identification of installed PLEUGER equipment, spare-parts requirements, service planning and replacement selection. PLEUGER provides repair, overhaul, spare-parts and upgrade services for its pump and motor platforms. The exact replacement should be verified against the existing duty point, dimensions, materials, electrical data and installation conditions.
