The family covers self-cleaning centrifugal arrangements for clarification and phase-separation duties in food, beverage and industrial processes. Product enters a high-speed disc-stack bowl, where centrifugal force separates phases and suspended solids. Solids collect at the bowl periphery and are discharged through ports by a hydraulically operated ram. The discharge sequence is controlled with operating water and can be automated, allowing controlled partial or total discharge cycles during separation and cleaning.
Official Seital information states that self-cleaning clarifiers and separators can recover fine particles in the 0.5–500 µm range. PLC control can set discharge volume, frequency and combinations of partial and total discharges, while exact capacity, discharge volume and bowl configuration depend on the selected model and duty. These values must therefore be confirmed for the actual process.
