Seital Wine centrifugal clarifiers are intended for wineries that need to remove suspended yeast, bacteria, grape residues and other insoluble matter after fermentation and before filtration, stabilisation, maturation or bottling. Wine enters a high-speed disc-stack bowl where centrifugal force separates denser suspended matter from the liquid. Seital literature describes a soft inlet feed system to minimise turbulence and product damage, while a hydraulic seal helps limit oxygen pickup. For applications where CO2 loss must be avoided, including sparkling wine, Seital specifies an H hermetic clarifier with mechanical seals.
Published Seital wine data lists model capacities up to 55,000 l/h for wine clarification, with actual capacity depending on product characteristics and the requested clarification level. Hydraulic capacities in the same range extend up to 90,000 l/h, so hydraulic rating should not be confused with achievable wine capacity. Final sizing should consider feed condition, temperature, solids concentration and required clarity.
Removing solids centrifugally before final filtration can extend filter operating periods and reduce cleaning-related interruptions.
