realAx NBR-A Food Grade Hose is a replaceable pumping element for realAx peristaltic pumps and is intended for food products containing oils or fats and compatible cleaning media. Because the process liquid is contained within the hose, the material of the inner product-contact layer is a central selection factor for chemical compatibility, hygiene and wear resistance.
The pumping element is manufactured from food-grade NBR and is repeatedly compressed during pump operation. This allows the peristaltic pump to move the medium without mechanical seals in the product path. The material is particularly relevant for food-contact duties where nitrile rubber is suitable.
The identification colour is white. The published temperature range is -20 to +80 °C. The published pressure limit is 15 bar. These values describe the published material or product range and must be considered together with the selected pump model, speed and process conditions.
Service life depends strongly on pressure, speed, temperature, chemistry and solids. Final food-contact and chemical compatibility must be confirmed for the application.
