Key product features
- 4-offset sealing geometry → Reduces sealing-surface interference during operation and supports reliable shut-off in demanding duties
- Pressure classes up to PN 10–160 / ANSI 150–1500 → Extends selection across high-pressure process and utility applications
- Nominal sizes DN 50–1800 mm / 2–72 in → Covers both compact process lines and large-diameter pipeline duties
- Published temperature range from −270 °C to +800 °C → Supports cryogenic and high-temperature applications with suitable materials
- Flanges on both ends → Matches the series to its intended piping and installation concept
- Metal-seated valve concept → Supports duties where elastomeric seat materials may not suit the process temperature
- Bi-directional shut-off capability in the Quadax platform → Gives designers flexibility when defining flow and isolation strategy
- Multiple body and trim material options → Supports duty-specific selection for demanding media and temperature conditions
- Actuation can be matched to the application → Supports automated isolation and defined fail-position requirements
- Service and selection support from AxFlow → Helps align valve, actuator and materials with the actual operating duty
Quadax Double Flange is intended for demanding isolation duties in industries such as chemicals and petrochemicals, cryogenic service, oil and gas, hydrogen, power generation, district heating and industrial gases. The series is relevant where reliable shut-off must be maintained across wide temperature and pressure ranges and where valve selection is critical to process continuity.
The valve uses Quadax's 4-offset geometry, which separates the sealing surfaces during opening and closing and supports controlled metal-seated shut-off under demanding process conditions. Flanges on both ends provide a conventional bolted connection to the pipeline, making the valve suitable where installation, removal and alignment through standard flanged interfaces are important maintenance considerations.
Current Quadax data specifies a 4-offset design, a pressure range of PN 10–160 / ANSI 150–1500, nominal sizes of DN 50–1800 mm / 2–72 in, and flanges on both ends. The published temperature range extends from −270 °C to +800 °C with suitable configuration and materials. These are series limits and the permissible combination for a specific valve depends on size, materials, pressure class, actuator and process conditions.
The double-flange arrangement supports planned removal from the line without cutting welded pipework, which can simplify major maintenance activities when sufficient isolation and lifting access are available. Correct actuator sizing, material selection and flange-class matching remain essential. AxFlow can support selection, actuator matching and service planning for the actual medium and duty.
