Red Valve Tideflex® check valves

The Tideflex® Check Valve is a one-piece elastomer duckbill check valve designed for back-flow prevention and zero-maintenance operation in stormwater, sewer, industrial and potable water systems.

Product features

  • One-piece elastomer and fabric-reinforced ply construction (no moving parts)
  • Patented curved-bill duckbill design for tight sealing around entrapped solids and low flow conditions
  • Very low cracking pressure and low head loss, enabling greater upstream storage and self-draining installation
  • Corrosion, rust, freeze and warping resistant — ideal for harsh environments including tidal outfalls and sewage service
  • Suitable for a wide variety of sizes and installation types (flanged, in-line, flat-bottom, slip-over)
  • Operates purely on system pressure/back-pressure (no external power)
  • Extensive field-proven reliability: hundreds of thousands of installed units worldwide

Product description

The Tideflex® Check Valve serves as a high-performance, low-maintenance alternative to traditional flap-gate and mechanical check valves for back-flow prevention. It is broadly used in stormwater, combined sewer overflow (CSO), wastewater outfalls, industrial slurries and potable water applications.

This valve offers exceptional reliability through its elastomer duckbill design, enabling low head loss, low cracking pressure and a tight seal even at low flows or when exposed to solids, debris or fouling. It operates without auxiliary power or mechanical hardware, allowing for virtually maintenance-free operation in difficult and remote locations.

Constructed of a one-piece, layered elastomer body reinforced with ply fabric, the Tideflex Check Valve resists corrosion, freezing, warping and marine fouling. Multiple installation configurations (flat-bottom for vaults, flanged for outfalls or in-line designs) allow flexibility for retrofits or new build systems. Advanced design models developed via hydraulic testing and finite element analysis ensure optimized performance in each size and application
