Rotork IQT3 pro

The IQT3 Pro is a part-turn intelligent electric actuator used for automation of butterfly, ball and plug valves in industries such as oil & gas, water/wastewater and power.

Product features

  • Designed for isolation or regulating duties with up to 1,200 starts per hour.
  • Connected platform: configuration and control via the Rotork smartphone App, Bluetooth Setting Tool Pro, and onboard data-logger export.
  • Enclosure rated double-sealed to IP66/68 (7 m for 72 hours) and certified for explosion-proof/hazardous-area use.
  • Continuous absolute-encoder position tracking with independent torque sensing for enhanced safety and reliability.
  • Integrated Ethernet and fieldbus compatibility (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, PROFINET).
  • Oil bath lubrication enabling any mounting orientation and extended service life.
  • Manual hand-wheel override and remote commissioning/operation up to 100 m via Remote Hand Station.
  • Field-upgradeable control and indication options, backwards compatibility and asset-management support via cloud or PC.

Product description

The IQT3 Pro actuator automates part-turn valves (such as butterfly, ball or plug valves) in demanding industrial environments, supporting both isolation and modulation applications. It provides high-performance actuation with intelligent monitoring and configuration features built in.

From a performance perspective, the IQT3 Pro features a robust design capable of up to 1,200 starts per hour, certified for functional safety (SIL2/3) and designed for harsh environments with IP66/68 and explosion-proof ratings.

In terms of design, the actuator includes an oil-bath lubricated drive train for any mounting orientation, an absolute encoder for position tracking even without power, and full connectivity via smartphone app, Bluetooth setting tool and Ethernet/fieldbus networks.
