Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Trondheim, Tromek Service has established a strong local position through its expertise in pump station installation, pump system assembly, pump repair and maintenance, as well as the production and modification of spare parts. The company employs 15 skilled professionals and serves municipalities and industrial customers in the Trondheim area.
The acquisition builds on a successful collaboration between Tromek Service and VA-Prosjekt Midt-Norge (VAPMN), which became part of AxFlow Norway in 2023. Together, the companies have worked on public tenders for several years, combining complementary expertise to deliver complete solutions for water and wastewater projects.
"Tromek Service is a highly respected service company with strong technical competence and an excellent reputation among municipal customers," says Gunnar Ødegård, Managing Director of AxFlow Norway. "By bringing Tromek into AxFlow Norway, we create a stronger organisation with end-to-end capabilities—from engineering and project delivery to installation, maintenance and lifecycle services. This strengthens our position in one of Norway's most important infrastructure markets."
The combined organisation in Trondheim will comprise more than 20 employees, creating a larger platform for continued growth, recruitment and competence development. The acquisition also enhances AxFlow Norway's ability to participate in public tenders by combining engineering expertise with comprehensive multi-brand service capabilities.
"We have enjoyed a close working relationship with VA-Prosjekt Midt-Norge for several years, and joining AxFlow is a natural next step," says Eirik Hindseth, Managing Director and co-owner of Tromek Service AS. "Together, we can offer customers a broader range of services while continuing to provide the local expertise and responsiveness that have been central to Tromek's success."
The acquisition also creates opportunities to expand the combined business into neighbouring municipalities, supporting growing investment in water and wastewater infrastructure across Central Norway.
