AxFlow Oceania acquires Professional Pump Services & Irrigation Pty Ltd.

PPS brings AxFlow closer to customers across critical industries in Northern Queensland, combining local expertise with a broader range of pumping, irrigation and water management solutions.

AxFlow Oceania, part of the international AxFlow Group, has acquired a majority stake in Professional Pump Services & Irrigation Pty Ltd (PPS), a leading provider of pumping, irrigation and water management solutions based in Townsville, Australia.

With more than 20 years of experience, PPS has built a strong position in Northern Queensland, serving customers across agriculture, aquaculture, mining, municipal and industrial sectors. The company offers a comprehensive range of pumping and irrigation equipment, supported by a highly skilled workforce providing their customers with engineering expertise, installation, maintenance, workshop repairs and on-site service.

More solutions, backed by local expertise
For PPS customers, the acquisition means access to a wider portfolio of products and services while retaining the local expertise and personal relationships they value.

Through AxFlow Oceania, PPS will be able to offer additional solutions, including the Permaglass product range, fire protection systems, tanks and a broader selection of industrial fluid handling equipment. Collaboration with other AxFlow companies will also create opportunities to support customers with more complex applications and projects.

"Being close to our customers and understanding their applications is at the heart of AxFlow's business," says Michael Briggs, Managing Director of AxFlow Oceania. "PPS has built an excellent reputation in Northern Queensland through its technical knowledge, strong customer relationships and responsive service. By bringing PPS into AxFlow Oceania, we strengthen our ability to support customers across Queensland with a wider range of solutions, while preserving the local expertise that makes PPS successful."

Building on a strong local foundation
PPS will continue to operate with its experienced management team, ensuring continuity for customers and employees.

The company's established workshop, in-house testing facilities and mobile service capabilities will continue to provide customers with responsive maintenance, repairs and technical support. These capabilities will be further strengthened through access to AxFlow Oceania's wider network of technical expertise, products and resources.

"We have spent more than two decades building a business based on technical expertise, dependable service and close relationships with our customers," says Peter Bainbrigge, Director of PPS.

"Joining AxFlow gives us the opportunity to take the next step in our development. Our customers will continue working with the same people they know and trust, but we will now be able to offer them more products, more expertise and even greater support. It also opens exciting opportunities for our employees to develop and grow within a larger group."

The acquisition is part of AxFlow's long-term strategy to build a comprehensive fluid handling solutions platform in Australia and New Zealand by investing in successful local businesses and supporting their continued development.
