Pumping Citric Acid

AxFlow Ireland are experts when it comes to pumping Citric Acid.

Citric acid is an organic compound. Its most commonly found as a white solid, it is a weak organic acid. It occurs naturally in citrus fruits and in bio-chemistry as part of the citric acid cycle.

The Citric Acid chemical can also be heavy depending on the temperature and concentration.  If the specific gravity is more than 1.1, a trimmed impeller is necessary to prevent decoupling or overloading the motor.

If pumping citric acid at room temperature, it's best to use a pump made of Polypropylene or Stainless steel.
