Product description

APV Plate Heat Exchangers provide controlled thermal transfer for process fluids requiring cooling, heating, condensing or evaporation. The portfolio is applicable across food and beverage, dairy, brewing, pharmaceutical and chemical operations, as well as production of convenience foods, oils, fats, sauces and mayonnaise. Plate heat exchanger technology provides a compact interface between process and service fluids while supporting efficient thermal transfer. The broad operating range allows equipment to be specified for both hygienic and industrial process duties.

Operational performance extends to flow capacities of 4,500 m³/h and maximum differential pressures of 25 bar, depending on the selected configuration. The specified temperature envelope extends from -35°C to +200°C. These capabilities allow APV units to cover a wide range of thermal duties rather than limiting the portfolio to a single process condition. Correct equipment selection should be based on required heat load, flow conditions, temperatures, pressure and process-fluid properties.

Construction can be specified in AISI 316L, AISI 304 stainless steel, 254 SMO, Hastelloy C-276 or Titanium Grade 1. This material range provides options for matching the heat-transfer surface to process chemistry and operating conditions. Available sealing materials include EPDM, HNBR, NBR, FKM, EPDM HT (Paratemp2) and Paramine. APV heat transfer solutions are also constructed to address process requirements for cleanability, accessibility and product integrity.

Selection and replacement require verification of more than nominal connection or capacity requirements. Plate material, gasket compound, operating temperature, differential pressure, process flow and required thermal performance all influence the correct configuration. AxFlow supplies APV plate heat exchangers and supports selection from the available portfolio, allowing the unit to be specified against the actual process duty. This approach also helps avoid unnecessary lifecycle cost caused by incorrect materials or equipment sizing.

APV Plate Heat Exchangers are used for cooling, heating, condensing and evaporation of process fluids. AxFlow lists applications across food and beverage, dairy, oils and fats, sauces and mayonnaise, convenience foods, brewing, pharmaceutical and chemical processing, giving the range coverage across both hygienic and industrial production environments.
Available construction materials include AISI 316L, AISI 304 stainless steel, 254 SMO, Hastelloy C-276 and Titanium Grade 1. Seal options include EPDM, HNBR, NBR, FKM, EPDM HT (Paratemp2) and Paramine. The appropriate combination should be specified according to the process fluid, operating temperature and other application conditions.
Incorrect material or gasket selection, unsuitable operating conditions and a mismatch between the exchanger configuration and actual thermal duty can compromise service performance. The AxFlow source specifically provides multiple plate and sealing materials together with defined temperature, pressure and capacity limits, making verification of these parameters an important part of specification and replacement.
Compatibility should be established from the actual thermal and mechanical duty, including process and service-fluid flow, required temperatures, differential pressure, construction materials and sealing requirements. APV configurations can accommodate flows up to 4,500 m³/h, differential pressures up to 25 bar and temperatures from -35°C to +200°C, but the correct unit must be specified for the individual application.
Replacement should preserve the required thermal performance while verifying plate material, gasket material, operating pressure, temperature and process compatibility. For maintenance planning, accessibility and cleanability are also important because the APV portfolio is specifically constructed around these requirements together with product integrity. AxFlow can support specification of the appropriate APV configuration for the process duty.
