- Open- and sealed-tank options → Supports different vessel and containment needs
- Purpose-built mixer gearing → Supports reliable service under mixer-specific loads
Lightnin Compact is used in water treatment, mining and chemical processing where reliable circulation, solids suspension, blending or chemical conditioning is required without the footprint of a larger mixer drive. For engineers, buyers and maintenance teams, the key question is not only mixer power but whether the selected drive, shaft, impeller and mounting arrangement will create the required circulation, shear, suspension or dispersion in the actual vessel.
The product is built around a compact purpose-built gearbox with true dry-well protection, double or triple reduction options and compatibility with established Lightnin impellers. This construction allows the mixer to be configured around vessel geometry, fluid properties, duty cycle and the process objective instead of treating all mixing duties as the same application.
Current manufacturer data lists 0.75–55 kW and 13–155 rpm, with IEC or NEMA motors and options for ATEX or explosion-protected duties. These verified characteristics should be used together with tank dimensions, liquid density and viscosity, solids or gas loading, operating temperature and required batch result when selecting the final configuration. AxFlow can help check the duty and identify the correct Lightnin configuration.
The reduced gearbox footprint and lower structural loads can simplify installation, while the dry-well concept helps protect the process from lubricant loss and supports planned maintenance. Correct selection also supports predictable spare-parts planning and reduces the risk of downtime caused by under-sized mechanical components or an impeller that does not match the process.
